Basketball27: MC Theater 1v1
1v1 in the MyCareer Theater. Bring your player to the Theater lobby; queueing, waiting for an opponent and offense in the match are MAN's job. After each match the game puts you back in the queue and MAN plays the next one.
Beta: read this first
From 2.0.6, Theater is re-calibrated for the Season 2 court and open again; from 2.0.7 the Season 1 wood court works too, and MAN tells the two courts apart at the start of every game.
Theater 1v1 is for trying out only. Online latency differs for everyone and we are still testing on real consoles; it may not keep running for long, and bugs or getting stuck are expected. The first time you press Start, MAN shows a notice and only starts once you agree.
Test your latency with Manual Stream first, adjust, then start Theater.
Theater 1v1 is for playing with friends only: don't use it for online competition against others — Green lock is likewise limited to games with friends. Step-back is the recommended shot (it's the factory default).
1In-game settings
MAN follows the purple flame; the wrong color makes it pick the wrong player.
With Green lock on, MAN watches the green timing window on this meter. Set Size to Large, not Medium, or MAN can't read the meter reliably.
Same as Open Court — see Open Court in-game settings for each item.
2Get into position
- Enter the Theater lobbyThe Theater in MyCareer
- Play with friends onlyGo into the Theater with friends; not for online competition, and Green lock is for games with friends only
- Stand near the 1V1 doorThe teal gate on the floor at "LOSER'S OUT: 1V1" should be in view
- Don't walk in yourselfMAN first turns the camera toward the gate, walks straight onto it, stops, and lets the game pull you into the queue
- LobbyWalks to the teal gate and lets go of the stick once it's underfoot
- Waiting for opponentStands still until matched
- MatchTells offense from defense by the change of possession after each shot, moves and shoots on offense
- After resultsThe game returns to the waiting screen and MAN queues for the next match
MAN stops on its own when the game returns to the main menu, so it never wanders into another mode.
3Settings in MAN
Theater plays offense only: possession is still tracked, and on defense MAN stands still by default; no rebounding, no automatic rematch.
| Parameter | What it does |
|---|---|
| Shot gear | Stepback shot (default and recommended: steps back in the chosen direction once settled, back by default), Standing fake-pass shot, Sprint layup (new in 2.0.7, see below), or Random mix (each possession draws one of the ticked shot types; tick Sprint layup to mix finishes and threes). |
| Sprint layup | Each possession picks the left or right side of the rim (left / right / random) and drives straight there from where you stand: R2 sprint within 5 m of the rim, shoot inside the small arc under the basket. With Green lock on it reads the shot meter; with it off it shoots on "Shot timing". If it gets blocked it switches to the other side. The target offset sets left and right, and Target depth sets front and back (metres; negative means behind the rim, cutting in from the baseline). The monitor draws the layup zone, sprint zone and route. |
| Green lock / Release latency | On by default; factory release latency is 193 and it can go up to 600 (online games lag more than local ones). Tune it like Streetball King's green lock. |
| Three-point zone (title, top right) | A band beyond the three-point line, one per shot type: how far from the line (m) and how wide (m). Step-back comes 2.4 m toward the rim from the factory so it lands just beyond the line; the others start 0.3 m out and 1.2 m wide. |
| Meter search time | With Green lock on: how long to wait for the shot meter after the shot starts, per shot type — fake pass 700 ms, step-back 2400 ms, sprint layup 2400 ms. Raise it if online lag makes the meter show up late and MAN misses it. |
| Movement (title, top right) | Only "Release lead", default 0.8 s: stops too deep → raise; stops short → lower. |
| Defense spot | Off by default (stands still on defense); when on, walks to the set spot on defense and stops there. |
| Match & rest | Auto rest only: after a set number of matches, or a set run time, rest for the set minutes between matches. |

Troubleshooting
- Wrong player: check the indicator is a purple flame, then the camera.
- Can't reach the door in the lobby: move your player closer to the 1V1 door with the teal gate in view, then press Stop and Start.
- Green lock always early or late: Theater is online with more latency than local modes; test latency with Manual Stream first, then tune Release latency with the green-lock rules.
- Stuck: wait a few seconds; if it stays stuck, send "Upload log" or the stuck screenshot, sort it out with the controller and start again.
- Anything else: see the FAQ or bring the monitor view and event log to the community.
